Our mission is to provide a quality system of pre-hospital care, reduce death and disability, and ensure the health and wellbeing of those in our region.
About Us:
South Central Wyoming EMS (SCWEMS) is a mostly volunteer organization that provides Emergency Medical Services to the towns of Encampment, Riverside, Saratoga, Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow and surrounding areas. SCWEMS operates a combination of one basic life support and five advanced life support ambulances. Our stations in Encampment, Saratoga, Hanna and Medicine Bow house our fleet of six ambulances.
SCWEMS has 5 full time staff and dozens of volunteers to respond to your emergency.
Joint Powers Board
The joint powers board is made up of representatives from Carbon County, Encampment, Riverside, Saratoga, Elk Mountain, Hanna and Medicine Bow.
